Food production in space is an important factor to consider when designing a settlement in space. We are seeking a skilled and innovative Space Agriculturist to join our team. Key Responsibilities:
Developing: Take on the crucial task of laying the framework for farming and food production within the unique challenges of space environments, ensuring the development of efficient and sustainable agricultural systems for extended space missions.
Innovation: Identify and cultivate viable vegetation suitable for closed and controlled systems, emphasizing integration into a closed-loop life support system for sustained habitation and oxygen production. Propose and implement innovative solutions for space agriculture, including exploring and researching the possibility of processing lunar regolith into usable soil for plant cultivation.
Address Challenges: Specify the nutritional needs of inhabitants related to protein, carbohydrates, and vitamins in food production in space, providing detailed solutions to meet nutritional requirements, such as protein and carbohydrates, within the constraints of space farming.
Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Collaborate closely with engineers and the medical specialist to seamlessly integrate agricultural solutions into the overall habitat designs.
